Ver 2.0 First edition of Livestore.
Ver 3.0 Included Visa and Mastercard capabilities.
Ver 3.1 Changed menu commands and eliminated Search command.
Ver 3.2 Changed order form
Changed dowload command line parameters
Improved online ordering script
Improved online visa and mastercard order taking
Fixed bug that wouldn't allow downloads on some systems
Ver 3.3 Replaced order form again...
Included a switch in your cnf to add or take away the
type of credit cards to offer, read 33.txt for info...
Improved internal functions not visible to end users...
Ver 3.4 There was none!!!
Ver 3.5 This version was created for the European contries but can be
used here. The main changes are:
a) Added lines to the CNF file for configurable address lines.
If you enter 3 for number of address lines then you MUST have
3 address lines defined in the CNF file otherwise the program
will read the CNF file incorrectly.
b) Added a Tax comment line that will be displayed ONLY. If not used
then a Blank line MUST be inserted in the CNF file.
c) Allow the user to edit the Name, address data
d) Allow the user to edit the order before it is created.
e) Calculates the amount of the order and displayed to the user
when the order is reviewed.
Ver 3.6 This version was created for the European countries but can be
used here. The main changes are:
a) everything in ver 3.5.
b) added a "not used" statement to be echoed to caller when he
edits a file and the sysop didn't use the 5 optional lines.
c) all the variables lines lenght have been increased to 60
characters.
Ver 3.7 This version allows you to select if you want a department welcome
screen or not and also allows you to select if you want a description
file. Some sysops argue that a single file can handle the description
and price at the same time. If you select in your livecnf.exe program
N for descrip.lst and dept.scr, then your department menu will not
show option one for description! Nor will it say " press enter to
continue" when they first enter the department.
a) everything from 3.6 is here
b) added a new livecnf.exe program
c) can configure if you want an opening screen in any department
d) can configure if you want a description file in each department
Ver 3.8 Complete re-write from Turbo Pascal to QB4.5 using DOORFRAME. It now
can be installed in any conference. Uses non-standard IRQ's. Need
only ONE file per department. Doesn't waste time with welcome screens
in each department. Added NEW Search function. All files remain in
the doors default directory, NO need for sub-directories. Can use
% environments. Sharing same config file for multi-node setups. Uses
same NDX file for text filenames. There may be some small adjustments
that need to be made and we would appreciate to hear from you if you
find some of them and/or have problems.
Ver 3.9 Added option to turn Credit Card questions on/off. Simple addition
to the cfg file. Yes will prompt for card number etc.. No will Not!
Re-compiled with new version of DoorFrame.
Ver 4.0x This version is being released along with Version 3.9 because it may
NOT be for everyone running the LiveSTore program.
This version allows prompts for shipping and credit cards to be on
or off and if Visa prompt is ON then can prompt for whichever cards
you are able to handle like visa, mastercard, discover, american
express. Then the files that are read into the storex version are all
random access and MUST be created with the STRUTIL.EXE program that
is supplied with this version. PLEASE DO NOT try to use the ascii
text files with this version because IT WILL NOT WORK!
MUST also have brt71efr.exe in the directory or your path for this
version... STRUTIL.EXE needs brun45.exe to be in the dir or at least
in the path.
We have tried to include a few options that have been requested and
currently working on language files and other country prompts for the
addresses and tax etc..
We are now taking the tax from the cfg file, not from the buyer
We are taking the buyers order from the record that he/she selects
when ordering..
Many new options and of course that leads to many more ways that a
mistake could have been made... we would appreciate to hear from
you about any mistakes and/or problems with storex.exe ok
Ver 4.1x Beta for a couple boards to test new prompts and variables that have
been changed to make ordering easier and make the utility to create
your info files more effecient.
Ver 4.2x Released copy with many improvements mostly in the STRUTIL.EXE file,
It is now HOT KEYS and allows for 120 character descriptions of the
products.. many improvements over the past release. If you are using
this 4.2 to overwrite 4.0 then you MUST use STRUTIL.EXE to create
your info files. ALL FIELDS have been changed and improved. The door
will now search for text, allow viewing the record where the found
text was.. then prompt to order it right away.. many other changes.
Ver 4.3 Fixed error found sometimes where it would only display the first
two records in your information file(s). Fixed small error in the
State Sales tax.. should work all the time now.
Ver 4.4 Added brt71efr.exe file for faster access. Also added support for
DigiBoards with the /fd switch on the command line. See the DOCS
for more information. Re-compiled with newest version DoorFrame
which now is optimized for faster screen writes.
Ver 4.5 NO EXTERNAL FILE is needed for this version.. re-compiled with a
new version of doorframe and fixed a record not found error.
Ver 4.6 Re-compiled using Visual Basic for Dos and DoorFrame for Visual
Basic.. Now handles com-ports 0-15. DID NOT PKlite the EXE, you
can yourself for a smaller exe file.. had a couple bbs's that
the livestore ran fine without the PKlite of storex.exe, so I
decided to let you do it! Have no problems running it here!
Ver 4.7 DoorFrame had a DETECT.ANSI error and had to recompile to fix
the major bug of not letting callers into the door for a false
reason..
